My name is Steve and I am the Assistant District Commissioner for Scouts (ADC Scouts) in Tamworth.

 

I know my title makes me sound old and boring, but this is far from the truth!

Officially, my responsibility is to make sure that Scout Troops in Tamworth are being run properly, and to provide assistance to scout leaders, but all of the troops have such brilliant leaders that I don’t have to work too hard on this.

 

Mainly, I organise District Events for scouts. This is where all scout troops in Tamworth come together to take part in a camp, competition (shooting, archery, open-fire cooking, quiz, etc.) or other activity. They are great fun; they let scouts meet other scouts from around the district and take part in exciting and adventurous activities that they might not get chance to do in their troop.
